The National Homeownership and Housing Development Campaign

A national initiative to connect Nigerians, State Governments, and housing institutions towards expanding access to affordable homeownership and strengthening subnational capacity for housing delivery.

Who we are

The National Homeownership and Housing Development Campaign is a pioneering private sector-led think-and-do tank, dedicated to bridging the gap between federal housing policies and state-level implementation. Through research, advocacy, workshops, and policy support, we help governments at all levels tap into housing opportunities, create implementable housing and land policies, and make homes accessible to citizens.

We also empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to become homeowners, ensuring that housing reforms are both effective and inclusive.

Why It Matters

Housing is more than shelter; it’s the foundation for security, stability, and economic growth. By connecting governments, private sector expertise, and citizens, this campaign transforms policy into action and homes into reality.

Problem Statement

Despite well-intentioned federal housing policies, challenges remain:

The National Homeownership and Housing Development Campaign addresses these gaps through seminars, workshops, advocacy, policy support, and empowerment programs, ensuring governments can implement housing solutions effectively while citizens gain the skills and resources to achieve homeownership.

Strategic Approach

The campaign adopts a multi-dimensional strategy that combines policy research, policy development, advocacy, capacity building, and strategic support in selected states. Through nationwide forums, technical workshops, and public sensitization seminars, CHRHDI will help bridge the gap between policy intent and on-ground results
